Our culture is rooted in well-being, mindfulness, and genuine care for both guests and associates. What excites me most is bringing a new chapter to life—launching JW Marriott’s first all-inclusive experience while staying true to our philosophy of meaningful, enriching travel.
As it relates to romance travel, what unique value propositions set your brand apart from the competition?
We offer a refined, wellness-forward approach to romance—combining beachfront serenity, spa rituals, private dining, and curated couple experiences. With intimate spaces, elevated service, and nature-driven design, we create deeply personal and memorable romantic escapes.
Can you share a success story when working with travel advisors?
During pre-opening phases, advisors have already secured exclusive group interest for destination weddings and full buyouts. The “wow” factor lies in offering a brand-new luxury product—paired with personalized planning, private venues, and immersive Costa Rican experiences.
What is new and exciting that you're looking forward to share with this year's Romance Travel Forum delegates?
We’re excited to introduce JW Marriott’s first-ever all-inclusive resort, opening Ocotober 2026—an exceptional destination for weddings and celebrations. With 415 suites, 11 dining venues, stunning beachfront settings, and a world-class spa, the resort is designed to host unforgettable ceremonies, elegant receptions, and multi-day wedding experiences for couples and their guests.
The travel industry is forever evolving. What are some of the trends you're seeing, and what initiatives is your brand developing to support travel sellers grow their business?
We’re seeing strong demand for luxury all-inclusive, wellness travel, and experiential stays. Our response includes immersive programming, flexible booking options, and a product that blends all-inclusive ease with authentic, high-end experiences rooted in Costa Rica’s natural beauty.
What are your traditional commission structures?
Usually 7%-10%
Why should travel advisors work with your brand?
This is a unique opportunity to sell a first-of-its-kind JW Marriott all-inclusive—combining global brand trust with a fresh, highly marketable luxury concept in a top destination. It’s a compelling story that drives both client interest and repeat business.
What tools/technologies do you have in place to support travel sellers, and do they integrate into current available technologies?
We have all of Marriott brand standards for technology.
When communicating with your company, what can travel advisors expect?
Advisors can expect responsive service, dedicated sales support, and clear communication—especially during pre-opening. Our goal is to provide timely responses within 24–48 hours and proactive partnership throughout the sales journey.
How and where can travel advisors book or get support when selling your product?
Bookings are available through Marriott direct channels. Advisors will also have access to dedicated pre-opening support teams to assist with inquiries, groups, and special requests.
